Social Care

Imagine finally arriving in Europe after witnessing or suffering great violence, trauma, and loss. How would you feel? How would you cope? Would you wish to have someone to talk to, support you, or care for you? These are the questions that many camp residents face when they arrive. They are not only struggling with their physical needs, but also with their emotional and mental health. They need more than just food, water, and shelter. Another primary need is loving care.

Eurorelief provides social care services to camp residents. We presently have trained volunteers with experience or academic backgrounds, who listen to the stories of camp residents, provide mental health aid, refer victims to medical and mental health professionals, connect them with legal advisors, and check in on the most vulnerable people in camp. They empower the camp residents to cope with their challenges, restore their dignity and hope, and heal from their wounds.

By supporting Eurorelief's social care activities, you are making a difference in the lives of the camp residents. You are not only meeting their basic needs, but also empowering them to rebuild their lives. You are showing them that they are not alone, that they are valued, and that they have a future. You are giving them a reason to smile again.
